I'm getting ready for our new arrival in the next few weeks and have had a blissful time getting all the baby things out in preparation - there's nothing like the tiniest white baby cardigan to get you in the zone! We have a lovely old wicker moses basket that my husband slept in as a baby and I've decided to breathe new life into it by giving it a canopy - the idea of sleeping under a gauzy tent has always seemed very cosy to me, and a canopy can also work really well when hung over a toddler's bed several years down the line. Numero 74 make beautiful plain, ethically sourced canopies in a range of gorgeous colours, but with a little time and effort it wouldn't be too difficult to tackle this as a DIY project - the key is finding just the right amount of floaty material in a soft, neutral colour. As ever, Pinterest has been an amazing source of inspo so herewith some of my favourites (click on image for photo credits) ...
