WHO WE ARE
The Willa & The Bear Story
From founder Hattie's sketchbook in North Norfolk, to artisans in India and Nepal, and back again.
Our trusted makers in India & Nepal
Willa and the Bear is built on enduring relationships with our customers, and just as meaningfully, with our makers.
For over a decade, we have collaborated with the same trusted print studios, nurturing partnerships grounded in mutual respect, shared values, and a deep understanding of the craft.
These long-standing bonds are central to our process and identity.
Championing exceptional artisanal skills
Our production is led by Shilpa in Jaipur and Rojina in Kathmandu, remarkable women whose expertise, care, and attention to detail shape every collection.
Together, we have spent years refining our methods, evolving thoughtfully as the brand has grown. Their work reflects not only tradition and technical skill, but also the quiet pride that comes from creating something lasting.
We are honoured to work alongside them and to share their artistry with our community.
At the heart of Willa and the Bear is a commitment to conscious craftsmanship and considered choices. We are proud to produce our pieces ethically and in small batches, working closely with skilled artisans under fair trade principles. Every step of our process, from sourcing to packaging, is guided by a respect for people and planet. We minimise plastic use wherever possible and package our products in recyclable materials, designed to be as gentle on the earth as they are beautiful to receive.
