Willa and The Bear was founded by Hattie in 2014. Mama to Willa, Maud and Gus, Hattie knows a thing or two about the parenting journey and the stuff that helps make life a little bit easier!
We believe in quality and longevity
Every one of our pieces is designed by Hattie in Norfolk and made in small, female-run studios in India or Nepal. Shilpa in Jaipur and Rojina in Kathmandu oversee our makers, who are all true artisans in their field, block-printing and finishing each item by hand. We only use high-quality, natural cloth and non-toxic dyes and choose all of our fabrics carefully, making sure that they only get softer the more they are washed, which we think is a must for anything to do with babies or children! We would like to think that our lovely things will be cherished and passed on to siblings for years to come.
We design products that are as stylish as they are practical
Everything we make is equal parts practical and stylish, with just the right mix of cuteness for little ones and chic for grown-ups. We love making nursery essentials that don’t look out of place when they’re dragged into sitting rooms and pyjamas that are so stylish they double up as cool beachwear.
Ethical production only
We only use trusted makers and supply chains that operate completely ethically. No mass-produced, anonymous factory settings for us, which means that our products are invariably more expensive to produce, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We know that our customers appreciate this important part of our manufacturing process too.
Every one of our products is gift quality
Every product we design has to get a big tick and thumbs up for its giftability before it even gets to the sample stage! This means that all of our pieces would make lovely presents and are beautifully presented for completely hassle-free gifting.
