Good to know:

All of our fabrics are made using hand block-printed cloth which is produced in limited runs meaning that no two pieces are exactly the same.

Each blanket measures 100 x 140 cm

FAQs

How do you present your dohars as gifts? Like everything we send out, gift wrapping comes as standard! We wrap each blanket in our bespoke tissue paper which is tied with handmade cotton braid from our makers in Jaipur. This little parcel is then wrapped in paper and put into one of our lovely pink paper bags.

What’s the difference between your dohars and peace blankets? Our dohars and peace blankets are made using different traditional methods and have slightly different compositions. Dohars are made in India from two layers of cotton voile, whereas our peace blankets are created in Nepal from a layer of cotton sandwiched between two sheets of muslin.

The art of block printing

Block printing sits at the heart of everything we make. Each design begins as a hand-carved wooden block, carefully inked and pressed onto cloth by skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. The process is slow and deliberate, allowing the ink to sink into the fabric and giving every piece its own subtle variations and character. Printed in small batches on soft, breathable cotton, no two muslins or blankets are ever exactly the same for a quiet celebration of craftsmanship, imperfection, and the beauty of things made by hand.
