Hooded Muslin Towel
A freshly bathed, squeaky clean baby has to be one of our favourite things in the world! Our super soft Hooded Muslin Towels are made from 4 layers of breathable muslin and block printed by hand with two contrasting prints. A little hood keeps small heads warm straight out of the bath, whilst the gently absorbent nature of muslin makes a lovely alternative to a towel and is perfect for drying those hard-to-reach, peachy soft folds.

Our hooded muslin towels are designed to fit newborns up to 18m and measure 80 x 80cm.
All of our fabrics are block printed by hand by our artisans and cooperatives in India and Nepal.

Are these towels more of a dressing gown alternative rather than actual towels? Once you try one of our gentle muslin towels you won’t go back to traditional terry towelling! These muslin towels are completely practical and dry incredibly efficiently. Unlike standard towelling, the muslin fabric won’t go hard and lumpy in the machine, in fact they get softer the more they are washed.
Would a muslin towel make a good new baby present? Yes! We love these towels for newborns as they are so soft. We recommend these for babies with particularly sensitive skin as the fabric is totally non-abrasive.
The art of block printing
Block printing sits at the heart of everything we make. Each design begins as a hand-carved wooden block, carefully inked and pressed onto cloth by skilled artisans using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. The process is slow and deliberate, allowing the ink to sink into the fabric and giving every piece its own subtle variations and character. Printed in small batches on soft, breathable cotton, no two muslins or blankets are ever exactly the same for a quiet celebration of craftsmanship, imperfection, and the beauty of things made by hand.
